A website consists of a domain name and a host domain. The domain name (fullnegotium.com) is divided into mid-level (fullnegotium) and top-level (.com) domains.

Mid-level domain
I have encountered some articles during my research that suggest choosing a short domain name. The reason is that a short name is easier to remember and faster to type. Personally I don’t think that the size of your domain name does matter. If I sell fruit, I can call my website www.fruitisgoodforyou.com. It is a sentence that is easy to remember. Besides, internet browsers such as Google will store all visited domain names for future use. Of course, a 100-letter name is absurd. A maximum of 22 letters is generally accepted.
After choosing a domain name, you can check at checkdomain.com if is available. You can buy a domain name for a couple of dollars a year at a web hosting. Better yet, you can get an all-in-one website. This is a combination of domain name, host domain and an adjustable template. You can also choose to design your own template with the help of their WYSIWYG-editor.

Top-level domain
The .com stands for “commercial”. This is a global top-level domain. There are also countries’ top-level domains. If your target is people living in France, it would be better to have .fr as a top-level domain than .com. One of the benefits is that search engines will only show your website to the inhabitants of France. On the other hand, if your target is more than one country it is better to use a .com top-level domain. You can tell the search engine which countries you want to target when submitting your website. Host domain
You will need to store your website on a server. These servers are called webservers. There are a lot of companies that provide webservers, each offering different kinds of services and packages. Choose the one that best fulfills your needs. There are a lot of free domain names and host domains on the World Wide Web. You can get one if your goal is a personal website. If you want a website to make money, you will need to spend some money.
